1967 Shelby GT500 #2402, 1 of only 145 GT500s painted Acapulco Blue for that year. Showing only 37,872 original miles and sporting an older repaint in it's factory correct color, #2402 is an excellent and well-documented example that can be driven and enjoyed.

Body - #2402 retains nearly all of it's original born-with sheetmetal with only the right lower quarter panel having been repaired. The Ford secret VIN number is present in the left front apron underneath the Shelby tag and has been verified with the 1967 Shelby Registrar. The car shows an older repaint in it's original Acapulco Blue with minor chips and imperfections you would expect for an older restoration. The car also retains it's original Shelby hand-laid fiberglass hood, nose panel, scoops, decklid and end caps. The undercarriage is factory-original and sports its original Red Oxide Primer and factory applied sound deadener and seam sealer. Much of the suspension including the tie rods, HD sway bar and rear leaf springs are original and still show their original factory paint daubs.

Drivetrain - #2402 is powered by it's numbers-matching drivetrain. The Dual-Quad 428 Police-Interceptor is dated 7C31 (March 31, 1967). The car was treated to a common period-correct upgrade of Cobra Jet cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds. The Original BJ/BK carburetors show date-codes corresponding to the vehicle build. The intake is the original Shelby-only C7ZX unit. The car is shifted by the correct C6 transmission with "H" servo. The correct 9" rear end sports the 1967 Shelby only, heavy duty "SPEC" rear end case and still sports it's original C7ZX Ford Identification tag.

Interior - The interior is the original late production "Comfort-Weave" style and is believed to the be the original upholstery and carpet that the car was born with. They are beginning to show their age (as can be seen in photos) but are still very presentable. The Shelby unique 8,000 RPM tachometer and 140 MPH speedometer are intact. The late-production style 2-point roll bar as well as original Stewart-Warner Gauge Pack are intact.

The car still wears it's original Shelby American VIN tag on the lefthand inner-fender and original hand-stamped Shelby VIN on the right-hand shock tower. Documentation includes a Marti Report, Ownership and build information from the Shelby Registry, Confirmation email from the 1967 Shelby Registrar showing the cars options, Ford secret VIN and confirmation that the car was originally optioned with the 10 spoke Deluxe Wheels. Also included is the original Owner's Manual and Ford Safety Tips.
