1967 Mustang Fastback Project V8

1967 Mustang Fastback Project. Originally optioned with 289 -2V and C4 Automatic Transmission. This fastback was recently purchased from the previous owner who intended to restore the car but could not finish the project. The previous owner completed sheet-metal repair and had the car painted in its current metallic blue. The rust repair included repair to the battery tray and two patches in the floor boards, all other sheetmetal appears to be original to the car. The quality of the repair appears to be enthusiast level as can be seen in the pictures, it wold be easily repaired as the extent of rust was minimal. Current paint grade is 5+/6, it is usable but does have several imperfections and would not be considered show quality.

The undercarriage of the car appears to be mostly original and solid. The rear end is believed to be the original one to the car with ID tag still intact. The previous owner dropped a 1971 302 CI motor in the car. It currently does not have a transmission. The front power steering suspension is all on the car and it rolls and steers freely. The interior has new carpet, the front buckets appear to have the original upholstery and the rear fold-down seat and panels are all with the car. The glass appears to be original to the car.

Factory VIN stampings are in both front fender aprons and the door warranty tag is original to the car. It decodes as follows:
