Numbers-Matching 302 / Air Conditioning / Automatic

This numbers-matching 1968 Fairlane 500 Convertible is ready to drive and enjoy. It sports a recent driver-quality repaint commissioned by the previous owner. it was originally ordered in Candyapple Red as it is painted now and a new Black Power Top. It has has few blemishes from driver usage and is not perfect, but presents well for a driver-level car.

The engine is the Numbers-Matching 302 cubic inch the vehicle was born with the VIN stamping was confirmed on the engine block. It sports a mostly original engine bay with only service items upgraded. The car runs well with no issues, starts right up when the key is turned and is a reliable cruiser. It is shifted by its original 3-speed Automatic transmission.

The body is exceptionally solid with no signs of rust and a very original undercarriage. As previously stated there are a few dings and minor imperfections including the front bumper and a dent on the rear decklid, but no major structural issues were found and no signs of previous metal replacement. It has been upgraded with 15" Cougar styled steel wheels and BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.

The interior is mostly original is showing its age but all the gauges function, however the radio currently is not functional.The car has its original owner's manual, warranty-card, safety instructions and warranty booklet.
